Lana is an extremely calm and peaceful person, at least, she likes to be...You wouldn't really like her when she gets mad though...lucky it's rather hard to upset her. She loves to play in the waters with her tail, yes she lives on the land, but she's still a mermaid and can't run from her playful nature.

Background:
Lana first came to land when she was 14 despite her mother and father's rules against it...They were rather old fashioned...Then it was just short visits which never lasted more then a few hours.
At the age of 17 it was time for Lana to go off on her own, of course she chose to go to the land. There she took on her father's name as her last, and she never strayed too far from the water. One year after she came to live on land she took a lover by the name of Dover, he was a water elemental, which is probably why she felt so attracted to him. However the love did not last.
A few years after living together they began to argue, which is something Lana did not like. Dover suddenly didn't trust her when she went to visit her friends in the ocean, so she left. When St. Avalon began letting female students in she jumped at the chance to teach others. It took some convincing but now she's teaching the water power classes.

"Lana, I just don't understand why you would want to go out there so much. I mean, didn't you spend all of your childhood coming up here?" Dover asked in a rather annoyed voice.
"Yes, I did...But I'm still what I am." She answered, grabbing a bag from a shelf in the bedroom. "Dover, if you can't trust me why would I stay?" Lana asked her lover of five years as she packed what little things she had in his home. As she left she slammed the door, hard. She was sure others heard the argument...well, arguments...they'd been fighting on and off for too long now and she'd just had enough.
She took a deep calming breath as she looked out to the water, having no idea what she was going to do now. Well, off to someplace new I suppose." She said to herself as she gripped her bag tightly, swinging it back before throwing it into the sea, promptly diving in after it.
