Finally a day to herself...Ever since the school year started it's been nothing but work work work, something a mermaid is not used to doing. But it is all worth it and she knew it....Still breaks are nice.
The day was beautiful, perfect for swimming. But of course not in that little pool...Walls, eww. Water, in her mind was never supposed to be fenced in like that. Besides, this has fish in it for her to make friends with, why wouldn't she want to swim here verses the pool.
Lana looked around very carefully, making sure no one was around before removing her clothing, hanging it up on a low tree branch before quickly diving into the water. Her nude body quickly became covered up once more. A large aqua mermaid's tail formed at the exact moment her skin touched the water, as well as a matching patch of scales to cover her breasts.
Now in her mer form Lana smiled, it felt like too long since last she swam. She played in the water, her graceful movements under the water's surface made her look like she was almost dancing...Maybe she was, who knows.

A day off, how rare these days were, but it still did not change what he did, which was work out and sleep. The only difference today was that he got to do more of both today. Since he has practiced with his sword and knives alot recently, today he was going to work on his kung-fu in the gym. He set up a few dummies and began striking each dummy, trying to not break them with each strike. For hours he practiced and trained before finishing up for now. He got a towel, dryed himself off from the sweat, and he headed outside. Back during training with his father, he was told that he should always meditate and calm down, and he knew of the best place to do so.
He looked around, then smiled seeing the lake. He took off his shirt, threw it over his shoulder, then he headed over to the lake with a soft smile. He looked around until he saw his special spot, a smale bit of land that seemed to extend slightly into the lake, like a private oasis. He went to the center, throwing his shirt to the side. He then sat down and crossed his legs calmly. He then rested his hands in his lap, closed his eyes, then tilted his head down, breathing slowly, ignoring everything, but at the same time, he felt like someone else was there with him, very close by to this spot. It was weird, but at the same time calming because he was not alone.

Lana saw from under the water Garou taking his seat by the shore of the lake. She tilted her head slightly with confusion, she'd never seen someone meditate before...Now distracted from her new fish friends she swam away from them, closer to Garou to see just who he is, and what he was doing.
Her tail splashed at the surface of the water as she got to the more shallow part of the lake, just before her head came popping out of the water, her body laying on the cold lake bottom. She just couldn't figure out why someone would come to a beautiful spot like this to sit with their eyes closed..."I'm sure you'll appreciate the scenery alot more with your eyes open." She said with a playful smile on her face, halfway hoping he'd come join her in the water

Garou smiled hearing the water splash as she swam closer. His smile grew wider as she spoke, laughing lightly at her comment."I close my eyes so that I can better feel the beauty around me instead of just seeing it...." He then opened his eyes, smiling to Lana. "But seeing your beauty is amazing also."
A soft blush went across his cheeks as he looked over her. It reminded him of the first time he saw her at the faculty meeting. She caught his eye, but he did not think much of it, but seeing her in this form was absolutly amazing. He scooted closer to the edge, smiling to her with his hand out. He was beginning to feel a little shy, but he swallowed and smiled to her, trying to stay calm and relaxed. "Mind if I join you?"

She smiled back to him, blushing just slightly at his comment about her beauty, rather flattered. She wasn't the only one that caught an eye at that faculty meeting, infact, she found it rather hard to concentrate, she was too busy trying not to stare, and thinking of ways to introduce herself...meeting up at the lake was definitely not one of the scenarios that played in her mind that day, but apparently that's what was meant to be.
She scooted closer to him, her entire upper half of her body out of the water now, showing the aqua scales that covered her chest so perfectly to keep her from actually being nude. She took his hand as she nodded. "I wouldn't mind at all...It's Garou...right?"

He smiled and blushed even more, feeling her hand in his. He always hoped to meet her, but meeting her like this was luckier than he thought, getting to see her in this magnificent form. He did not want to waste this moment, he wanted to be around her and not leave.
Next thing he knew, he was slipping into the water in only his pants, wrapping his arms around the mermaid. It was like he did not have to think, it just felt natural to be around her. The water reminded him of the sky, both free, both almost limitless, both peaceful. It only made Garou smile more at the cost of a soft red blush going across his cheeks. In a way, it felt like time was coming to a screeching stop around him. He blushed even more, before speaking to her. "This is great...."

She could feel her heart beating faster as he wrapped his strong arms around her, looking up into his eyes, blushing just as much as he was. Him holding her was definitely a surprise, but one she was very glad for.
At his comment she couldn't help tilting her head in confusion. "What is?" She of course had no idea he wanted to meet her as badly as she wanted to meet him...She almost felt right in his arms, safe, protected, like she was meant to be there.

A soft blush went across his cheeks as she spoke, feeling the warmth of them being so close. He wanted to say how he truly felt, but it was difficult, like something was choking his words away, but he knew he had to say them some how. Even training was not this difficult for him. He has never been that emotionally close with anyone before, so this felt so perfect, yet so odd.
He held her closer, a hand going to her cheek as his thumb softly rubbed against her cheek. His blush continued to grow, but he ignored it, trying to seem a lot less shy. He smiled to her and mumbled out a few soft words. "Ever since I saw you at the first meeting, I can't stop thinking about you, and meeting you at this lake is like a dream come true......." His blush grew, but he did not care at all, he was just happy that he got that much off of his chest. He glanced into her eyes for a second before looking back down again, waiting for her reaction.

Lana smiled as she felt his warm hand on her cheek. She could feel her cheeks warming as she blushed at what he said to her, glad to know she wasn't the only one distracted at the staff meeting. "...I'm surprised you didn't notice my watching you then." She said in a rather shy voice as she timidly wrapped her arms around his waist.
She attempted to meet his eyes with hers, bending her head just slightly. "I've been hoping we'd have a chance to meet up...You were quite a distraction that day." She added with a smile, knowing he was just as interested in her as she was in him definitely helped her shyness problem a bit.

The blush on his cheeks stayed in place as his eyes met hers, looking as if he was simply hypnotized by her eyes. They reminded him of the sky, limitless, beautiful, loving. He couldn't look away as his hand came up to her hair, combing back her hair gently. Why did this feel so perfect? Why did it feel so right? He couldn't tell, but he didn't care. It didn't have to make sense with her, it just felt, right, like two halves of a heart.
He pulled her closer, leaving them at eye level, then his blush simply disappeared. It was in that moment, that look in the eyes that told him what he had to do. He swallowed softly, leaned in, then his lips pressed into her tenderly, his eyes closeing softly as they kiss, hoping Lana would want the kiss as well.

She blushed a deep red as she watched him lean in to kiss her. With how close their bodies were she was sure he could feel her heart racing in her chest. Wait, her chest! It was dry! Despite how much she wanted this she needed to get it wet again. Reluctantly dodging the kiss she dove under the water, hiding there until her fish like scales returned to her, in a way taking away her nudity.
She hated this, finally she gets to meet him and she has to run off...how typical of her luck. It was a good thirty seconds or so before she returned to the surface of the water, hoping Garou would understand...After all, she is a mermaid...

He blushed, feeling her flesh against his, then she vanished under water. He understood, but it made him blush even more. He watched her as she sank deeper into the lake, frowning and missing her back on the surface. Once she returned, a smile returned on his face. He had to think of a way to make this kiss work for them, then the idea came to him.
He smiled, holding her close as a bubble of air covered their heads, then he took her under water, smiling brightly to her. Now there were no interuptions to get in the way of this kiss. He looked into her eyes and spoke playfully to her. "Now then, where were we...?"

She smiled with relief when she saw he was still there waiting for her when she got back. She opened her mouth to apologize, but before she would say anything she was being taken back under the water, but what she couldn't understand was why the air around her head. She thought everyone knew that merfolk could breath underwater...
"I think we were just about here." She said just as playfully, as she wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling herself as close to him as she was before. She couldn't think of a more romantic scene, fish swimming past them as she gently pressed her lips to his.

A soft smile appeared as his arms went around her, pulling her even closer as their lips met in their very romantic kiss. This was the proof he needed, this was the moment that would cement his words once he said them, but he he couldn't pull away from this kiss yet. He just had to enjoy this kiss for as long as he could.
It was perfect, but then after about a minute of this amazing kiss, he pulled back slowly opening his eyes to look into hers. He spoke softly to her with his kind smile. "I don't know what it is about you, but I can clearly say this........ Lana......." He swallowed softly, lowering his head bashfull, mumbling out these last words. "......I love you......"

Lana's eyes narrowed a bit. They had only just met...Yes she liked him...alot. And she could tell she cared very deeply about him. But Lana was never one for the thought of love at first sight... "I...I need to go." She said before wriggling out of his arms just to swim off, deeper and deeper into the lake.
'How can he say that so soon? We've only just met...I don't know a thing about him...' She thought to herself as she kept moving through the water. The moment was so perfect up until she got scared...
