Kat stood in the amber light of the setting sun. The last coach had already left to take the students up to the main courtyard so she would have to walk up the school grounds to get to the school. If she was lucky she would get there just in time for the start of year feast, witch was usually followed by a small party so students couldn’t get to know each other. Biting her lip she crossed her arms and looked around hoping she hadn’t already missed him.
She had only seen him a hand full of times in the last year, and over the summer she had seen him once. It felt to Kat as if it had been a life time ago that she had curled up under a blanket and spoken with him, chatted underneath the stars until way past there curfews. But now she could be with him, her best friend. Not that St Avalon Academy was letting in girls she could spend her time with him properly.
Over the last year Kat had changed a lot but she had changed the most since she last saw him, hidden away under her excitement to see him, she wondered if he would like the way she looked now. But yet again why would that matter? They where only friends and Bryant had never minded the way she looked, even when she had braces. So why did she care if he liked the new look?
Signing she rubbed her hands together taking another glance at the castle in the distance. The school looked magnificent with a glorious red tent to the brick work from the sun. smiling she couldn’t help but feel existed this would be her home for the next few years while she was hear studying. Just a few months ago she would have never dreamed of going her, but there out of the blue they changed the rules so girls could come here too hence why she was stood out in the end of summer/autumn air waiting for her best friend.

Bryant was in his dorm, making sure everything was perfect. He straightened out his tie and stared at himself in the mirror for a second. He'd never been so nervous before. But she was here. Kat. His Kitty Kat was here. He looked around his room to triple check that it was perfect too. He made sure to clean it top to bottom. He looked at his clock. He realized he was running a little bit late.
[green]"Fuck man!"[/green] He looked once more in the mirror and then ran out of his room, throwing on his jacket as he did.
His heart was pounding and his hands were shaking a bit. Kat. God. He was going to finally be able to see her whenever he wanted. He make the transition as easy as possible for her. Where ever she needed him, he'd be there. He'd protect her from some of the slime that went here. He'd be whatever she needed him to be. If all she wanted was a friend, he could do that. If she needed or wanted a boyfriend, he'd be more then willing to do that.
He made his way through a small crowd of people as he rushed outside. He scanned the ground quickly. Where is she where is she? Did some other guy already sweet talk her away somewhere? Was he too late? He turned around and debated going inside to look for her. No, they'd agreed to meet outside. She'd be here. He turned back around and scanned again. Then he saw her.
There was no mistaking her. The curve of her face. The breath was knocked out of him when he saw her. She was beautiful. More beautiful then he remembered. Though, he'd always thought she was beautiful. She was biting her lip and her arms were crossed. She was nervous and excited and he could tell. He wasn't sure if anybody else could tell. He thought probably only he could because he knew her so well. He knew every one of her different smiles. He knew the she pouted. He knew the look she got when she was mad.
He stood there for a moment, smiling, as he watched her. But he couldn't take it anymore. He had to go over there! He smiled wider and ran towards her. [green]"KAT!!!!!"[/green] He grabbed her in his arms, hugged her tight, and spun around with her, picking her up. [green]"Kitty Kat..."[/green] He sighed happily as he set her down, but kept her in his arms. [green]"Kat... You're here... You're finally here."[/green]

Kat started to panic. What if he didn’t show up? Then she heard it, the boom of his deep voice as he called out her name. Smiling she spun to fave him. There he was up the hill half way between her and the school, running towards her. “ hey” waving she began up the hill towards him, smiling wider than the Cheshire Kat. He looked the same, her Bryant. Though he seemed to get taller and taller as they got closer to each other. Smiling she wrapped her arms around him giggling. “OMG Bry it really is you2 she chimed pulling back, leaning her face so close there noses almost touching. Oh how much she had missed him it felt so good to wrap her arms around him and talk to him.
She hoped things would still be the same between them, fun and bubbly and never knowing what would come next. Its what she loved about bry, his sense of fun and surprise and the knack as always finding something new to do, or something to do when every assets seemed to be tired out and unable to relive there plague of the board syndrome.
“Hey stranger…miss me?” She laughed looking down a t him. Yep it was defiantly her Bryant.

Bryant couldn't speak. His Kat. She was so beautiful. And she was so close. Their noses were almost touching. He drew a small gasp. She was so close. He could just lean in right now and kiss her. Should he? Or should he wait until later? Did she need time to adjust to the school first? How long would that take? A day? A month? All year? He couldn't wait all year. He wanted to be with her. He wanted to be hers. He wanted to be able to say 'Nice to meet you. And this is my girlfriend Katharine Alyssa Blake.'
[green]Yes darling it's really me.[/green] He was finally able to whisper to her. He shook his head a little, looking her over. [green]Look at you! You're even more drop dead gorgeous then I remember.[/green] He wished desperately that she would take those words and finally read into them what he had hoped and prayed she would. That she would finally realize that he meant he loved her and he couldn't live without her.
He hugged her close still, even after he set her down. She chuckled and kissed her cheek. [green]Did I miss you?! Of course I missed you![/green] He cupped her cheek, looking into her eyes, trying to communicate with her without talking. Trying to tell her he loved her. When it didn't work, he spoke softly to her. [green]How could I not miss my best friend? Somebody who's the most beautiful person I've ever met? Not just on the outside, but on the inside too.[/green]
Then he did it. He kissed her. Sure, he'd kissed her a million times on the lips. But not like this. Never like this. It was a kiss filled with passion as he cupped her face. If she didn't understand what he was trying to say through this kiss, she'd never understand just how much he loved her.
